We have been having the best time getting to know all of our new friends over the past two weeks!
We often talk about how we are like a family in our classroom and these kiddos take that seriously! This is most definitely one of the SWEETEST groups of kids that I have ever had. If we ever have arguments, disagreements, or if a friend is struggling with some hard feelings, we will quickly discuss how we are like a family and we love each other, and then these sweet babies will shower each other with kindness. I am so proud of them!
This week, I introduced the activities that will be in our "Morning Tubs." The activities in these tubs help to build their fine motor skills in fun ways. Everyone has had a chance to test out the morning tubs, but next week students can only play in the morning tubs once they have shown me that they can write their name well without assistance.
This week we had THREE friends with loose teeth, and they all had the same tooth loose! It's funny when one person loses a tooth, the rest want to lose theirs, too! Every time I turn around someone has their hand in their mouth trying to wiggle a tooth lose!
I try to write down funny things the kids say from time to time... Here is a funny from this week:
While we were immersed in a great conversation about what 'knowledge' means, one sweet baby raises their hand. I ask them if they have something else to add to our conversation about what knowledge is... The response: "No, I think I've answered enough questions. I just wanted to tell you that God gave us eyelashes to keep the dust out of our eyes."
Hopefully I will have more pictures added next time! Technology isn't cooperating today...
Have a great weekend!
